About the event

Whilst many Spring races have understandably been cancelled, you can take part in The Brain & Spine Foundation Marathon Mission this April. 1 in 6 individuals in the UK live with a neurological condition and all funds raised will help us to continue to provide expert support and information to those affected by neurological problems.

About the event
The Brain & Spine Foundation Marathon Mission is a marathon-themed virtual event - so it can be run (or walked) anywhere in whatever way you want during the month of April.
In keeping with the marathon theme, the milestone distances are multiples of marathon distance.

  • Half marathon (13.1 miles/21.1km) - avg. 0.7km per day
  • Marathon (26.2 miles/42.2km) - avg. 1.4km per day
  • Double Marathon (52.4 miles/84.4km) - avg. 2.8km per day
  • Treble Marathon (78.6 miles/126.6km) - avg. 4.2km per day
  • Quadruple Marathon (104.8 miles/168.8km) - avg. 5.6km per day

This event is open to everyone, regardless of your pace or distance goals!

  • You can take part as an individual, or create or join a team with your friends, family and colleagues.
  • When you register, you’ll create a Run Things account that’s dead wizzy and will collect and tally all of your runs and walks, helping you to see how far along in the challenge you are.
  • The Run Things system allows you to link your Strava account, meaning any activity you put into Strava as the activity types ‘run’ or ‘walk’ will automatically upload to your account page. The system also allows those without Strava to manually upload their activities.

All funds raised will go to The Brain & Spine Foundation so they can continue to provide expert support and information to those affected by neurological problems and their families.
